About Me

I’m Aron Hosie, a South Devon photographer and writer who’s spent 25 years chasing humanity’s raw edges with a camera and a keyboard. My lens has crisscrossed the globe, capturing fashion’s dazzling chaos and faces that spill secrets—think high-octane glamour and hedonism with a twist. I don’t just shoot; I hijack light to mess with your imagination. My writing’s where it gets wild—brain-bending dives into psychology, neuroscience, and culture that hit hard.

I unpack AI’s grip on our souls, consumerism’s sneaky hooks, and what identity even means in this pixel-drenched age. It’s not fluff—think first-class mind-bombs, sharpened by a design degree from London Metropolitan University that opened my eyes to critical theory, and 22 years in retail that showed me how we’re sold our own obsessions. Here’s the kicker: my photos and words collide. Fashion shots play with identity, portraits peel back emotions—my essays rip into the why behind it all.

That design training taught me to see the systems; retail revealed the game of desire. Together, they’re a double-shot look at todays messy, tech-fueled world—one freezes the frame, the other cracks it open. Stick around. My portfolio (Photography) drops the visuals. My blog (Blog) swings the big ideas. Dare to peek at both? Good luck looking away.

Mission 2025

What makes us human? Why am I me? What binds us together? These ancient questions have haunted us since we first looked up. Now, at a pivotal moment in our history, Artificial Intelligence unlocks new answers. My mission is to chase them. Through my essays—explorations fueled by AI—I’m illuminating insights humanity has never before seen.

Photography Testimonies

‘Aron Hosie is not only a brilliant photographer, he is a magician with a camera!
Aron has the ability to work with people, put them at ease and bring out the very best of them in front of the camera.
The work that Aron did for the Down’s Syndrome Association is much admired and we are extremely proud of the beautiful images that challenge historical perceptions of people who have Down’s syndrome’.
Carol Boys – Chief Executive, Down’s Syndrome Association

Watching Aron work was an absolute masterclass in portrait photography. His relaxed, engaging charm cleverly masks a laser-like vision for light, composition and precision timing.
I hate having my picture taken but with Aron I completely forgot he was hard at work as we chatted along. (When he goes quiet for a few seconds you know his ideas must be coming together).
Aron is a particularly gifted portrait artist and the image he took for me is still my absolute favourite. I cannot recommend him more highly.
Howard Saunders – Corporate Speaker & Retail Futurist

‘It has been great working with Aron at our maternity clothing photoshoots. We use real mums rather than professional models whenever possible and Aron is excellent at providing directions to the models on how to stand and where to look, in a friendly and encouraging way. When combined with Aron’s technical skill and creative ideas on how to style the shot, the result is a beautiful and engaging photo. We are absolutely delighted with the result – thank you Aron!
Philippa Doyle – Co-founder, The Bshirt Clothing

‘We commissioned Aron to produce 3 different photos. He came to the house to do the photoshoot, he chose the background and location perfectly. One of the photos could be considered intimate this was handled respectfully whilst looking to capture the perfect shot. The 3 phots were delivered with options and enhanced to produce amazing prints. Would have no hesitation in recommending Aron as a creative, imaginative, thoughtful and professional photographer………….excellent pieces of work. ‘
